Unlock Tools, Credits and Licences — What You Are Actually Buying

This is the part of the catalogue aimed at shops rather than end users: credits and licences for the software that performs unlocks locally. They are priced per credit or per seat, and the failure modes are different from an IMEI unlock — the most expensive mistake is buying a top-up for the wrong account type.

Short answer. These checks answer a question that decides what to do next, and they cost cents. Run the identity and lock checks first, then the blacklist check, and only then order an unlock.

What the message actually means

Credit tools (SamKey, Z3X, Octoplus, General/Deep Unlocker, Global Auth) consume one credit per operation, and each vendor sells credits against either a new or an existing account. Buying the wrong one produces a code that cannot be used.

Licences (UnlockTool, Z3X Pandora, Octoplus FRP) are time-based seats. They are bound to the buyer's account and often to a machine fingerprint.

What you are seeing

Step 1 — check before you spend

  1. Confirm the account type before ordering: new-account vs existing-account top-ups are different products.
  2. Confirm the tool version supports the model you need to service.
  3. Read the vendor’s prohibited-use list — the common causes of account blocks are listed on each service page.

Step 2 — what to do with the answer

  1. Identify the exact tool and version you are running.
  2. Check whether you need a new or existing account credential.
  3. Buy the matching product — not the cheapest one.

The free route fails for one of four reasons, and only the last one needs money: the device is still financed; the account was closed with a balance; the buyer is not the account holder; or the IMEI is reported. Everything else is a paperwork problem the carrier can fix.

Everything on this page is the paid route by definition; the value is in choosing correctly. Wasted credit purchases are the single most common complaint in this category, and nearly all of them are an account-type mismatch.
