An Apple iPhone 6 Plus that was sold through T-Mobile carries that operator’s activation policy. The official rules are summarised in the T-Mobile unlock guide. This page shows the services we hold for T-Mobile against this model, with the price of each.

Check first. Run the $0.03 carrier and SIM lock check before ordering: if the device is already unlocked, or locked to a different operator, every tier below is the wrong purchase. Reported IMEIs cannot be unlocked into service at all.

The register dates this model to 2014; T-Mobile pricing depends on the generation, so the tiers below are ordered by price rather than by name.

TACs that identify this model

What to do, in order

Confirm the model from the IMEI — the free TAC lookup resolves the first eight digits.
Confirm the carrier: a phone sold as one brand is often on a sister brand’s record.
Check the blacklist if you are buying the device rather than unlocking your own.
Order the tier that matches the reported state, or ask the carrier for the free unlock if you are the account holder and the device qualifies.
